360° spins
A Podiar spin is a 3D reconstruction built only from your own photos of that car, shown turning on a podium. Nothing is generated or invented: if the photos don’t cover the car, the spin says so rather than filling it in.
Spins are included on the Pro, Group and Founder plans, not on Starter. See Billing & subscriptions.
Capture a walk-round
Section titled “Capture a walk-round”- Open the car, tap Vehicle options → Start walk-round.
- The app shows how this uses your monthly car allowance before you start. A full walk-round uses one car, and discarding a walk-round does not refund it.
- Set the circle around the car, then walk all the way round, keeping the same distance. Photos are taken automatically as you go — you don’t press the shutter.
- Follow the prompts: Keep walking round the car, Slow down a little, You’re drifting off your circle.
A walk-round ends when you have been all the way round. If no new photo is taken for 10 minutes it pauses and stops there. Small gaps are fine: the viewer holds the previous photo across a gap, and missing spots can be re-captured later.
Each car can have up to three walk-rounds. To start another, discard one from the dashboard first.
How long it takes
Section titled “How long it takes”A full turn usually takes 20 to 45 minutes the first time. You can leave the screen — it carries on without you. The status moves through Uploading your walk-round, Cutting out the car, Building the 3D turn and Ready to spin.
If a spin doesn’t finish
Section titled “If a spin doesn’t finish”You may see Turn didn’t finish — the 3D turn couldn’t be built from these photos. Your photos are safe, and Podiar support can run it again; sometimes a new walk-round is the way to try again. A spin that fails never affects the car’s still images.
