Getting started
1. Sign in
Section titled “1. Sign in”The Podiar app is sign-in only. Accounts are created by your workspace owner on the web dashboard, who invites you by email.
- Open the app and enter the Email and Password for your Podiar account.
- Tap Sign in. You land on the Garage tab.
Forgotten your password? Tap Forgotten password? — you reset it from the web dashboard, then sign in to the app with the new one.
The app has five tabs along the bottom: Garage (your stock), Studio (your showrooms), the centre + button (add a car), Leads and Insights.
2. Add a car
Section titled “2. Add a car”Tap the + button (or Add a vehicle on an empty garage).
- Registration / VIN lookup — tap it, enter the registration (for example
AB12 CDE) and tap Look up vehicle. Make, model, year and other details are filled in for you. - Or type the details in yourself: registration, make, model, year, mileage, trim, body type, fuel, transmission, colour, asking price and an optional description.
- Get valuation shows retail, private and trade values; tap one to use it as the asking price.
When you are ready, tap Start photo capture. The car is saved and the camera opens.
3. Capture the car
Section titled “3. Capture the car”The app walks you through each angle with an outline to line the car up against and on-screen steering to get your height and distance right. See Capturing great photos for the details.
Turn your phone sideways — vehicle photos are captured in landscape so the whole car fits the frame.
4. Watch it render
Section titled “4. Watch it render”After capture, the review screen shows every photo with a live status — Uploading, Checking the shot, Preparing your studio, Cutting out and placing the car, Checking the result, Finishing and finally Ready. Rendering starts on its own; you do not need to wait on this screen.
If a shot needs doing again you will see Retake this one.
5. Showrooms
Section titled “5. Showrooms”The Studio tab lists your showrooms — the rooms your cars are placed in, with your branding. One is marked DEFAULT and is used for new cars. Showrooms are set up for you by Podiar; in the app you can rename a showroom and choose how plates are handled.
6. Use your images
Section titled “6. Use your images”Open the car from the Garage tab:
- Share Listing opens your phone’s share sheet with the listing description and image link.
- Vehicle options → Download all photos saves the finished images to your photo library (the app asks for permission the first time).
- Re-shoot photos captures the car again; Start walk-round makes a 360° spin.
Finished images also appear in the web dashboard and in any Podiar listing widget on your website.
